Its already a while since Riverbed Clay arrived here with us. Its the first wrap from Wrapture Australia I have ever tried, and I'm so glad the wrap found its way to us here up north in Norway, all the way from Australia. Clay was love at first sight, and it amazed me a lot!
The first impression of Clay was the feeling of the texture of this wrap. Its really something unique. It feels like those bedsheets I had when I was younger, made of crepe textiles. I loved it so much, and the same with this wrap.
The colors of this wrap is also something unique. Its delicate and discreet, but still pops out and are very eye-catching. I love how the colors work together, and it sure makes me think of those wet riverbeds I think they see more of in Australia then I do here in my hometown. I still love the beach and the sea, and the wrap just make me happy just looking at it.
You could easily just think that this is a grey and white wrap once looking at it quick, but here the wrap also surprise you. Taking a closer look you can see all those beautiful earthly tones blending together. You have different shades of brown, different shades of grey, you also have some silver and light blue tones.
I normally like cushy and a bit heavy wraps, but the more I try thinner wraps, the more I seem to love it these days. It could be that I now manage to make better wrap jobs, or the fact that Norway now experience the summer again- after a long and cold winter, but whatever it is- this wrap arrived just in time.
The fact that it dried up in no time after washing, made me really happy, but also because we have had a long time with sickness and fever at home, and it has been such a pleasure to have a thin and cool wrap like this here at this time, that still holds my toddler with such an ease!
The wrapping qualities is so good, and I feel like its wrapping it self around me. Its so easy to work with, so forgiving, the chest pass is easy to tighten and the wrap gives an amazing amount of cush on my shoulders.
Im carrying a heavy toddler these days, and this wrap made perfect wrap jobs every time, and my shoulders loved it!
So, the wrap is thin in hand, and it feels cool and airy. The texture is not easy to explain, so you should absolutely try one yourself!
The wrap have some amount of stretch, but just the type of diagonally stretch that gives your little one just the perfect amount of bounce, and your shoulders the perfect amount of cush. I did not once feel it digging or sagging!
Clay does not have a lot of grip, and feels silky and smooth from the first touch. It will still, because of the texture, have a great way of holding your passes in place and also stay in place wile carrying for longer periods of time.
I would recommend this wrap for all ages. This will definitely be a permanent wrap in our home, and I am already looking forward to wrap a squish in this wrap - whenever that may be.
To all of you that think you don´t like thinner wrap- You should definitely try one out! You will be blown away!
This wrap have all the things I love in a thick wrap, but just gives you the pleasure of not being heavy, beasty and warm- like thicker wraps often do.
So... Now I have only two last thing to say!
Wrapture Australia- Keep making those AMAZING wraps, and thank you a lot for sending one our way!
Clay will now travel trough Norway, so keep your eyes open, and check out #WraptureInNorway .
